 Don't waste your time with this imposter of legitimate MP3 Players!! Jul 18, 2010
This MP3 player is absolutely the worst device that I have in my collection of MP3 players. Upon ripping some WMA files from an audio book set of CDs, it worked as advertised. However, after about one week, when I turned on the device, the battery level was at least 90 percent or more capacity, but when I attempted to play the audio book from the folder menu, I got an "Overflow" message. I'm sure that this device may work if you only want to listen to music, but for audio books, this device simply does not work. Fortunately, I was able to restore all of the MP3 files and am listening to the audio book on another make and brand of MP3 player, the manufacturer's first letter of which coincidentally begins with a "C", but bears no relation or connection to the Coby brand.
The Coby 4 GB "Video" MP3 player is a piece of junk and quite simply, does not work. If you want to spend $30 on something and want to feel good about it, make a $30 donation to a charity of your choice, but don't waste your money on this deplorable example of an MP3 player!!

This player which i bought in red is nice looking, the sound is good enough for me. The battery life seems pretty good so far as well. My only issues are when locating songs, after selecting a song you have to start from the top and scroll through to which you want each time. Also the absence of the shuffle and playlist functions.
An overall not bad player.......just note that it sticks to the basics.

The Coby MP3 music player with FM is a great purchase. I chose it as a "beginner" mp3 player for my kids instead of spending $150 or more on the name brands. It was easy to load music onto it, and Coby's customer service reps were great at helping Tech-Challenged mom set it up on my computer. We've had two of these for five months now with no problems.

We ordered this MP3 player for our 4 year old, and couldn't be happier! It is very easy for her to use, and quite durable! She has enjoyed having her own player, and we have enjoyed some very peaceful nights! I would buy this for anyone, from adult to young child. I think I might have to buy one for myself:)

I was looking for a cheap MP3 player that was not complicated and just to bring to work with me. I have a very boring job and work mostly by myself and I wanted a little music to help the time go by. So I came here to look around for one. It was delivered in 4 days and I tore the packaged open and was very excited to find that everything was as it was advertised. The paint on the top corner above the screen is a little scratched and the middle button is very loud when you press it. It is very very lightweight, which is a plus and also a concern for me. I feel like if i dropped this thing it would break into a million pieces as it is made out of very cheap plastic. I am not downing this device at all, I didnt expect a whole lot. It actually sounds very good, holds 4g and is very cheap, so they had to scrimp on something, which is obviously the plastic that it is made from. It is basically JUST like an Ipod, only the Ipod is made from much better plastic. That is the biggest complaint I really have with it.
