My husband loves it! Jun 28, 2010 I bought this as a follow up gift to the handheld Garmin GPS I got my husband for Christmas several years ago. Before I got the City Navigator he only had the topographical maps (the original intent of this gift was for him to use while hiking and hunting). But he started to use it in the car more and more and mentioned several times that he wanted City Streets as well. We do not have the traditional dash mounted GPS, but in a pinch this is great!
Amazing detail Jun 16, 2010 This is a replacement for a two year old map chip. My wife and I use if for Geocaching, and have found quite a few caches with it. The maps even show roads in cemeteries in the middle of nowhere. The maps are usually pretty accurate, but the navigation feature sometimes get confused when the roads have changed or aren't on the chip.

2010 City Nav for Garmin Apr 25, 2010 If you've used the previous versions/year's updates (V8 and NT) then you'll know how to use this on your GPS - It's easy to install and works great on the Oregon. The Automotive (Zoom) Mode is especially nice as it emulates the screens of Garmins like the Nuvi. With the Oregon, you can switch between profiles (ie. Automotive and Geocaching) to get you close to a Cache and then off-road to the destination.
The only drawback that I see, is that it is based on a 2Gb card when the unit will reportedly handle without issue a 4Gb card. So, you do get a little limited for photo storage or if you're on a long trip/hike and take a LOT of photos (with the Oregon 550T) you might be better served by switching out the Map card for a larger MicroSD.
Anyway it works and if you have multiple GPS units, you can move it from one to the other without unlock codes and so on...So that is nice, now that the GREEDY BUZZARDS at NavTeQ only allow one unlock code per map set.

Garmin City Navigator North America NT (microSD Card) Apr 12, 2010 Advertising was great, that's what prompted us to purchase it.
But what they don't tell you is that there are no instructions, this SD Card is not user friendly. We were expecting something totally different, something that would surpass a regular paper map. That's not the case with this. This will probably fit the use for some people, but not us. Way to complicated to use while driving, even if you have a co-pilot. Glad we didn't toss out the paper map.
