5Perfect bread the first time  Jul 31, 2010
This unit was a replacement for an older Panasonic bread maker that I bought in 1993 or 1994. For the first use of the new machine, I used a recipe I was familiar with and the results were perfect! The controls are a bit more complicated because there are choices for loaf size and crust brownness, but otherwise the operation was very similar. The old unit was made in Japan, this one in China. I think the old one was a bit more robust, but that applies to most appliances nowadays. In summary: great machine, works as it should, reasonable price.

5Perkins  Jul 31, 2010
I've had this bread machine for about 5 years. Having made literally hundreds of loaves of bread, I can say that this is one of the best kitchen appliances I've ever bought. Every loaf is perfect, I'd buy one again in a heartbeat. You won't be sorry buying one of these!

5Great bread maker  Jul 30, 2010
This bread maker lives up to the high reviews.
We have baked over 6 loaves, and have used the dough cycle a few times. We almost bought the Z brand but for the cost it was not justified. This is a nice Bread Machine and the paddle does not stay in the bread after cooking .

5great bread maker for the price  Jul 27, 2010
I have been making all of my bread for about 7 years with a Breadman Pro bread maker that finally broke after making approximately 700 loaves of bread. I decided to buy this Panasonic bread maker after some research. I have made about 10 loaves of bread so far, and it works very well. My main purpose for making bread is for toast and sandwiches. The regular loaf setting made very tall loaves of bread, but this bread maker has a "sandwich" setting that makes smaller loaves that are perfect for me. I have to say that it is very easy to use and makes very good bread. I would recommend it to a friend.

5Better than ever!  Jul 26, 2010
I bought this machine to replace a 15-year old Panasonic. Panasonic has a decades-long history of building rugged, reliable mechanical products (in the old days, VCRs and tape machines, more recently, CD and DVD players, bathroom fans, microwave ovens.) Anyone and everyone builds inexpensive consumer products, but Panasonic makes them actually work reliably. Whenever I'm looking for a consumer product that has moving parts, I always go to them.

So back to this machine....I use it primarily as a dough maker for pizza. The old machine took 2 1/2 hours. This one does pizza dough in 45 minutes. I use the same recipe, and not only do I get dough faster, but the dough is much better to work with, and crips up very nicely. Can't imagine that the machine would make that much difference, but it does.

Have made a few loaves of bread, and they are perfect every time.

Looking forward to using this for the next 15 years.
